About the Role
At Hawthorne Health, we are looking for a marketing leader to create inspirational stories and deliver honed and engaging messages to our multiple customer types including, doctors, patients, nurses, and pharmaceutical / device sponsors. This Director of Marketing will develop product messaging and positioning, go-to-market programs, campaigns, and events.
The role will keep a pulse on the evolving community-based clinical trial market trends to drive outbound campaigns that engage customers and reach more patients. They will design, implement and monitor digital marketing campaigns and promotions with the goal of expanding Hawthorne Health’s mission to drive more clinical studies and reach more patients.
Our success is defined by our ability to deliver relevant content that creates awareness, demand, sales pipeline, and ultimately, new customers.
Responsibilities
- Drive positioning and messaging of Hawthorne Health product offerings to support long-term growth
- Stay up to date on the competitive landscape, be an expert on our competition and how they are positioned
- Understand and support our sales channels; train the sales team on the problems we solve for our customers and users; develop internal tools and external collateral and teach them how and when to use it.
- Be a trusted partner to the product team. Relay customer, sales and market insights, to help inform capability roadmap decisions and strategy.
- Lead and manage marketing campaigns working with internal and external marketing, business development, and operational colleagues to design and implement marketing promotional programs
- Develop and implement web and social media strategy and cadence to support lead generation, organizational presence, capabilities, and patient impact
- Manage messaging and presence at industry meetings
- Assist with press releases and industry publications to highlight company successes
- Create digital content including webinars, podcasts, brochures, pitch decks and more to support internal and external promotional efforts
- Track, compile, and report metrics regarding web traffic and campaign activities
- Bring fresh ideas to support commercial team and bring more value to our audiences
What You’ll Bring
- BA/BS with major/minor in marketing/business/communications required (MBA a plus)
- 8+ years of experience with Product or Industry Marketing or Corporate Marketing preferred, with knowledge of digital marketing tools
- Demonstrate confidence and poise to negotiate and develop promotional programs with colleagues and strategic partners
- Ability to develop/implement strategies and sound recommendations based on both quantitative and qualitative inputs with intuitive understanding of financial/market drivers
- Excellent leadership, interpersonal, customer orientation, presentation and problem-solving skills
- Proven record of crafting compelling positioning, messaging, and thought leadership content and interacting with executives to develop executive-level presentations.
- Multi-tasking experience, flexibility, and understanding of business impact to address immediate priorities and manage deadlines for long-term projects and strategic initiatives
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, that allow this candidate to establish good working relationships with cross-functional teams.
- Entrepreneurial spirit and confidence to pick up and lead new projects.
- Creative thinker that can generate innovative marketing ideas, work collaboratively, and lead a cross-functional team of stakeholders to drive execution.
- Great collaborator with willingness drive to help teammates to succeed.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Ability to travel domestically
